En el siglo XVIII el Mariscal Duque de Lorges sufría de cálculos y se enteró de que había un tal Jacques Beaulieu que los operaba. No se fiaba de este «médico» y decidió realizar una prueba antes, buscando a 20 enfermos del mismo mal y sometiéndolos a la operación. Todos ellos se curaron en pocas semanas. Una vez ganada la confianza, el Duque de Lorges se dejó operar, muriendo al día siguiente.
In the 18th century the Marshall Duke of Lorges had gallstones when he kwew about somebody called Jacques Beaulieu that operated it. The Duke didn`t trust in this «doctor» and decided to make a previous test, searching for 20 sick persons with the same problem and made them to be operated. All of they was well in a few weeks. Once the Duke trust in the doctor, he allowed to be operated and he died the next day.
