La pólvora en Europa y China
The gunpowder in Europe and China

The gunpowder was invented in China in the year 1044 and a century after, the first cannons appeared there. They came to Europe about two centuries after but were the europeans its real strengtheners of the cannons. The gunpowder is composed of saltpeter, charcoal and sulfur, and the saltpeter came from the animal dung. The chineses had fewer domesticated animals than europeans and so, obtain saltpeter was more complicated, and the their gundpowder had less saltpeter and was very less powerful. That’s the way the europeans won the gun race of the cannon.
