El famoso Teléfono Rojo que unía la Casa Blanca con el Kremlin durante la Guera Fría se instaló en 1963, después de la crisis de los misiles. Durante esta crisis, provocada por la instalación de armas nucleares por parte de Rusia en Cuba, las comunicaciones entre las potencias fueron muy lentas e inapropiadas, y aquel fue quizás el momento de máxima tensión de toda la Guerra Fría. Por supuesto, esta línea estaba encriptada y en realidad no fue un teléfono.
The famouse Red Telephone that linked the White House with the Kremlin during the Cold War, was installed in 1963, after the crissis of the missiles. During this crissis, caused by the installation of russian nuclear weapons in Cuba, the communications between the two powers were very slow and inappropriate, and that maybe was the moment of maximal tension of all the Cold War. Of course, this link was encrypted and really it wasn’t a phone.
